Smartwatches are not new in the market, there are some which has actually made an entrance into the market while there are others which are making an attempt to step into the technical market. All these smartwatches have one common feature – all of these are flat. Well, there is no harm in having one flat-fronted watch but this not at all imply that you have to trade-off between making a too bulky watch and display size.
It appears that Apple has tried to rectify this issue in its new launch of the smartwatch. It applied its high-end glass manufacturing skill in developing its iWatch device.
iWatch from Apple
As reported to New York Times, Apple is doing experiment with a new curved glass smartwatch. Like all the other Apple devices, this smartwatch from Apple will also be running on iOS version thereby giving access to its services. Now, the question is what will be the limit of that access. That is solely up on Apple to decide. However, this watch will be equivalent to an iPhone and will also be limited in its functionality like that of iPod.
Is this the first time Apple is intending to come up with a smartwatch? Certainly not… Last year, in December, a rumor spread that Intel and Apple collaborated together to launch a watch of 1.5 inch OLED display. The date of release of this new watch was scheduled some time in the middle of 2013.
Again, iPod nano from Apple also converted to a watch thereby expressing the desire of Apple to introduce such a device in their name. Now, what is the intention of this renowned mobile company? Apple plans to release a new device when it complies with its strict designing standards. However, they never aimed to release a watch that draws away sales from other products. Hence, it seems quite unlikely that you will get one Apple smartwatch which can act like a phone without getting connected to the iPhone.
In fact, you can use the Apple smartwatch as your gateway device for using other Apple gadgets which are tucked safely with you. You will get the option of purchasing this gadget instead of using it as an alternative to other Apple devices.
